Zapp was a band out of Dayton,Ohio that pioneered in the latest technical developments & advancements in the music industry. They were among the first funk outfits to experiment with electronic & synthesized sounds, most notably the vocorder aka the talkbox, with extraordinary effects. In fact,Zapp & Roger used these elements in their music so often that it became their specialty sound. Roger Troutman also executed those loud & thunderous electro-handclaps in alot of Zapp & Roger albums. This album released in 1985 is Zapp’s crowning achievement in studio recording.
