J.D. (Puma) Lewis - Shake It - ''Make It loose''

Hard-grooving early work from JD Puma Lewis - aka John Davis - a singer who's possibly better known for his work in the group Spank, or for his vocal contributions to Milli Vanilli! Don't hold that later chapter of John's career against him, though as the work here is tight, soulful, and right on the money a great batch of boogie-styled rhythms that comes out nicely from the early 80s underground put together with lots of beats and keyboard bits in the rhythms, almost enough to classify the set as electro soul at points, but with a warmer feel overall. Titles include "The Cat", "Dancing Shoes", "Tears", "Sexy High School Lady", "Hearts Of Gold", and "Automatic Woman" - plus "Party Rap" by The Dynamite Two, who guest on the record. Bonus tracks include "Check It Out" and "Robot Baby Jane".
